What AirHelp is

AirHelp is priced by success fee, not by discount code. It keeps 35 to 50 percent of what it recovers, so that share, not a code, is the real cost.

Paying less without a code

For a small claim, filing it yourself is the cheapest route. Submit through the airline's own compensation form first, and bring in an agent only once months have passed with no answer.

When the code will not apply

  • Whether you cleared the minimum spend, region and product category conditions
  • Whether the fare is already discounted, so the code will not stack
  • Whether the total actually fell after you entered it, confirmed by reading the figure

Common questions about AirHelp codes

What does a claim cost me?

Nothing up front. AirHelp takes a percentage of what it recovers, and if the claim fails you pay nothing. That is also why a promo code rarely applies to a claim, there is no price at the start for it to reduce.

Is my flight eligible?

The strong case is a flight leaving the EU, or arriving in the EU on an EU airline, delayed three hours or more, cancelled at short notice, or overbooked. Weather and air traffic control strikes are usually excluded as extraordinary circumstances.

Can I claim it myself instead?

Yes, and on a cooperative airline it is worth trying first, since you keep the whole amount. The service earns its commission when the airline stalls, denies without reason, or the claim has to go to court, which is where most unaided claims die.
