Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Tripdify website and app, including Trip Pass payments and refunds and location-based services.

1. Purpose and scope

These terms set the conditions for using the Tripdify website (tripdify.com), the Tripdify Saver extension and the Tripdify mobile app (together, the service) provided by DialogueForge (the operator), and the rights and duties of the operator and users.

The website and the extension can be used without an account, and using them means you accept these terms. In the app, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy when you sign in.

How personal information is handled is set out separately in the Privacy Policy.

2. Operator details

Name: DialogueForge / Representative: JANG SANG MIN / Business registration number: 806-28-02040 / Mail-order business registration number: [Mail-order business registration number]

Address: 303, 32 Bongcheon-ro 41-gil, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea / Email: [email protected]

3. Posting and changing these terms

The operator keeps these terms available on the website and in the app at all times.

The operator may change these terms within the limits of the law. Changes and their effective date are announced at least 7 days in advance; changes unfavorable to users are announced at least 30 days in advance and also notified in the app.

If you do not agree to the changed terms you can stop using the service and delete your account. If you keep using the service after the notice period without objecting, you are treated as having agreed.

4. Accounts and eligibility

App accounts are created with a Google or Apple account. An account is for its owner only, and you are responsible for keeping others from using a phone that is signed in.

People under 14 cannot create an account. The app asks you to confirm your age before you sign in.

Where the law of the country you live in sets a higher age for using online services without a guardian's consent (for example, up to 16 in some EU countries), that age applies.

You can delete your account at any time on the app's Me screen.

5. What the service offers

Website: comparing card-channel prices and other booking sites' prices from a hotel link, plus information and tools such as the travel magazine, promo codes and the trip ledger.

App: receipt and photo records (on-device text recognition, plus free AI scanning on the server when the operator has it turned on, which you can turn off on the Me screen), a photo trip map, a cash wallet and currency conversion, itineraries and place card swiping, shared trips, memory videos and trip cards, and notifications. Trip Planner tips, the only notifications that advertise a paid feature, are sent only if you turn them on.

The basic features are free. Some features are unlocked by a Trip Pass, bought per trip.

6. Where the service is offered

The app is offered in the countries and regions where the operator makes it available in Google Play and the App Store. The website can be opened from anywhere, but that does not mean the app or Trip Pass is offered in every country.

The operator may add or remove countries and regions, or limit some features in some of them (for example AI features or Trip Pass sales), to comply with local law or for operational reasons. If the service has to stop in a country, the operator announces it in advance as set out in Changes to and interruption of the service.

The service is not offered in mainland China.

Data protection rules and rights that depend on where you live are set out in Your rights by region in the Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to and interruption of the service

The operator may change, add or remove features to improve the service, and announces changes that matter to users in advance.

The service may stop for a while because of maintenance, faults, network problems or problems with outside services (sign-in, stores, storage and so on).

If the whole service is ended, the operator announces it 30 days in advance and lets you export your trip records from the app in that time. Trip Passes not yet used are refunded according to the law and the store's policies.

8. Trip Pass: products and prices

A Trip Pass is digital content that unlocks extra features for one trip. It is not a subscription: you pay once per trip and are never charged again automatically.

Trip Planner: unlocks AI trip planning tools for that trip: an AI-drafted day-by-day itinerary built around your flights and interests; places picked for you in each city from the places you kept and passed, your saved places and your trip style; your shortlist arranged into days, in order and with times, around flights, opening hours, meal times and the cities you stay in; and filling the empty days of a partly planned trip without changing what is already planned. The free tools stay free and are not part of Trip Planner: automatic layout, day routes, Google-rated recommendations and the rule-based draft. AI scanning of receipts, flight tickets, reservations and places is not part of Trip Planner: it is free for everyone while the operator has AI features turned on. Receipts and tickets have no scan limit; scanning places from links and screenshots may be limited to a number of scans per day and per month for each account. Trip Planner is sold only before the trip starts: ₩1,900 until 8 days before it starts, ₩3,900 in the last 7 days.

Memories: unlocks photo and video features such as the memory video, premium trip cards, and the memory timeline. ₩4,900 from the first day of the trip until the 7th day after it ends, ₩9,900 after that.

Bundle (Trip Planner + Memories): ₩4,100, sold only before the trip starts.

While the operator does not offer AI features, Trip Planner and the Bundle are not sold, since there would be nothing for them to unlock, and receipts, tickets and places are read on your phone only. During that time, Memories can also be bought before the trip, at ₩4,900.

These are the Korean prices and include VAT. The amount actually charged is the one shown on the payment screen and in Google Play or the App Store, and differs by country and currency. A struck-through price is the regular price that will actually apply after the date shown; for the Bundle, it is the sum of both regular prices.

The operator may open Trip Pass features for free during a promotion or trial, or pause sales for a time. Passes already bought are not affected.

9. Trip Pass: payment and use

Payment is handled by Google Play or the App Store under their terms and payment methods. The operator unlocks the pass after confirming the payment with the store.

A pass unlocks one trip, in the account of the person who bought it. It cannot be moved to another trip or account, and it does not unlock features for other members of a shared trip.

Changing the trip's dates after buying does not affect a pass already bought. If you delete the trip or your account, the pass for that trip can no longer be used.

AI features rely on an outside AI service, so a daily limit on use may apply. Free AI scanning of receipts and tickets has no limit; to prevent abuse, unusually heavy use from one account may be read later instead of at once, and your phone's own reading is kept meanwhile. Scanning places from links and screenshots is limited per account (a number of scans per day and per month); past that limit your phone reads the text itself. If the operator cannot provide a feature described at the time of purchase, it will refund you or offer an equivalent remedy.

10. Withdrawal and refunds

A Trip Pass is digital content. You can withdraw from (cancel) the purchase within 7 days of buying it if you have not yet used any feature the pass unlocked for that trip.

Once a feature unlocked by the pass has been used even once (for example, starting a memory video, making an AI-drafted itinerary, getting AI-picked places, arranging your shortlist with AI or having AI fill the rest of your itinerary, saving or sharing a premium trip card, or opening the memory timeline; free AI scanning does not count), the purchase can no longer be withdrawn under Article 17(2)(5) of Korea's Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. The operator states this on the payment screen before you pay, and records the time of first use to decide refund requests.

However, if the content differs from what was described or advertised or is not provided as promised, you can withdraw within 3 months of receiving it, or within 30 days of the day you learned (or could have learned) of this.

Refunds are made through the store that processed the payment and follow its refund policy. For App Store purchases, ask Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com); for Google Play purchases, ask Google Play or the operator at [email protected]. If your request meets the conditions above, the operator will help you get a refund through the store.

Once the store completes a refund, the pass is deactivated automatically.

If you live outside Korea, any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country apply as well.

If you live in the EU or the UK, you also have the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content that the law there gives consumers. Because a pass unlocks its features as soon as it is bought, you lose that right once you have expressly agreed to the pass being provided at once and acknowledged that you lose it. [Purchase screen consent and acknowledgement for EU/UK — to be added before the service is offered there]

11. Purchases by minors

If a minor pays without a legal guardian's consent, the minor or the guardian can cancel the purchase, unless the minor tricked us into believing they were an adult or paid with money the guardian allowed them to spend.

We recommend using the store's parental controls (such as Ask to Buy).

12. Your content

You keep the rights to the photos, records, notes and place information you leave in the service (your content).

The operator may store, copy, convert (for example shrinking photos or making a memory video) and transmit (for example showing it to members of a shared trip) your content only as far as needed to run the service. This permission is free of charge and ends when you delete the content or your account. The operator does not use your content for advertising or promotion and does not sell it.

You must hold the rights needed for the content you upload, and you are responsible if it infringes someone else's rights.

13. Shared trips

Records and photos left in a shared trip can be seen by every member of that trip. Give the invite code only to the people you travel with.

Whoever uploads something to a shared trip decides on it and is responsible for it. When uploading photos that show other people, please respect their wishes.

The person who created the trip can remove members. If the creator deletes the trip or their account, the trip disappears for every member, so export anything you need in advance.

Settling up and disputes between members are for the members to resolve; the operator does not guarantee that the app's calculations will serve as the basis for an actual settlement.

14. Prohibited conduct

Using someone else's account or invite code without permission, posting other people's personal information without their consent, and posting content that is illegal, obscene or harmful to others.

Calling the service automatically in bulk, getting around its security, overloading its servers, or cheating on payments.

Reselling or copying the service for profit without the operator's permission.

15. About prices, exchange rates and reading results

Hotel prices shown on the website are what each booking site displayed at the moment of comparison and can change on that site at any time. Always check the final price and conditions on the site where you book. Booking and payment are a contract between you and that site.

Exchange rates in the app are reference values calculated from outside rate data and can differ from the rates and fees your card issuer or an exchange counter actually applies.

Receipts, tickets and place details read by the phone's text recognition or by AI can be wrong. Please check amounts, dates, times and flight details against the original. The app marks fields it is unsure of for you to check.

Destination information, place suggestions, and draft itineraries are for reference only. Check opening hours, entry requirements, and travel times yourself before you go.

16. Outside sites and affiliate links

The service links to outside sites such as booking sites and discount services, and some of those links are affiliate links. If you book through one the operator may earn a commission, but the price you pay does not change.

Products, bookings and refunds on outside sites are governed by those sites' terms, and the operator is not a party to those transactions.

17. Limitation of liability

For features provided free of charge the operator is not liable to the extent the law allows, except for damage caused by the operator's intent or gross negligence.

The operator is not liable for damage caused by events it cannot prevent, such as natural disasters, network failures or problems with outside services, or by the user's own fault.

Records are saved on the phone first and backed up to the server while you are signed in. If you lose your phone before signing in or before records have synced, they may not be recoverable.

18. Restriction of use and termination

If you break these terms, the operator may, depending on the case, warn you, limit features or suspend the account, in that order, telling you why and hearing any objection. For breaches of the law or serious harm to other users, the operator may act at once.

You can end the contract at any time by deleting your account.

19. Location-based services: scope and provider

This and the following location-based services sections apply to the services the app provides using location, under Korea's Act on the Protection, Use, etc. of Location Information (Location Information Act).

Location-based service provider: DialogueForge / Location-based service business report number: [Location-based service report number]

Before using any location, the app asks separately, on its own screen, for your consent to these terms. You use the location-based services once you agree and grant your phone's location permission. All other features of the app work without it.

If you live outside Korea, your location information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy, including Your rights by region for where you live. The same consent screen and the same controls apply everywhere.

20. Location-based services: what they do and how location is used

Services: placing photos and receipts on the trip map, placing photos without location data by the time they were taken, and attaching places to records.

The app reads the phone's location (GPS and network location) only while the app is in use. The location log made when the app opens is stored only on the phone and is not sent to the operator.

The coordinates attached to a record are stored on the server as part of the trip record and can be seen by members of a shared trip you yourself invited. The operator does not provide personal location information to any other third party; if it ever has to, it will tell you the recipient and purpose in advance and ask for your consent.

21. Location-based services: retention and records

Coordinates attached to records are kept until you delete the record or place, or your account, and are deleted immediately then. The location log on the phone stops growing when you turn it off or uninstall the app.

Under Article 16(2) of the Location Information Act, the operator automatically records confirmation data on the use and provision of location information (when and how many records with coordinates were received, and when they were handed to which member of a shared trip) and keeps it for 6 months before deleting it. Consent records are kept with the version agreed to and the time.

22. Location-based services: rights of users and legal guardians

You can at any time withdraw all or part of your consent to the use of location (turn off the location-based service consent or the location log on the Me screen, or withdraw location permission on the phone), or ask for the use or provision of location information to be suspended. When consent is withdrawn, the operator immediately deletes the confirmation data on the use and provision of location information; coordinates on records are deleted when you delete them or your account, except where the law requires them to be kept.

You can ask to see the confirmation data on the use and provision of your personal location information and the reasons for and details of any provision to third parties, and ask for errors to be corrected.

As people under 14 cannot create an account, the operator does not receive personal location information of children under 14. Where the guardian of a child aged 8 or under, a person under adult guardianship or a person with a severe disability consents to protect that person's life or body, the procedure set by law is followed.

23. Location-based services: officer, damages and disputes

Location information officer: [Location information officer name] / Contact: [email protected]

If you suffer damage because the operator breaches the Location Information Act, you can claim compensation, and the operator is liable unless it proves it was not at fault.

Disputes about location information are first discussed with the operator; if that fails you can apply for mediation to the Korea Communications Commission or the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (1833-6972).

24. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and the use of the service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This choice does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live: for example, the consumer protection rules of the EU and the UK, and Japan's Consumer Contract Act, under which a term that excludes the operator's liability or unfairly restricts your rights is invalid. Nothing in these terms limits liability further than those laws allow.

In a dispute, both sides first try to settle it by discussion. Lawsuits go to the competent court under Korea's Civil Procedure Act; when a consumer sues over an electronic commerce transaction, the case goes to the district court for the consumer's address at the time of filing. If you are a consumer living in the EU or the UK, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.

25. Effective date

These terms take effect on [Effective date].
