What the Mastercard Korea channel actually requires.
The discount rate is 8% / 12% / 16% by card tier.
A single booking can save at most Other Mastercard USD 25 / World, Select and Platinum prepaid USD 45 / World Elite USD 60.
The booking must reach Other Mastercard USD 150 / World, Select and Platinum prepaid USD 200 / World Elite USD 250 before the discount applies. Below that you pay the standard rate even with the right card.
It runs 2026-04-01~2027-03-31. Book outside that window and the channel reverts to the standard price.
Separately from the booking date, the stay itself must fall within 2026-04-01~2027-06-30.
It applies to prepaid bookings only. Choosing pay-at-property or pay-later drops the discount.
It applies only when you pay in USD. Set the comparison currency to USD to see what you would actually be charged.
Eligible cards: Mastercard personal credit, debit and prepaid cards issued in Korea. A different card from the same bank may not qualify.
Excluded: Excludes 'pay at the hotel' rooms
If the discount did not apply
- Whether you arrived through the Mastercard Korea channel link. Agoda serves a different price list by the route you come through, so the same room opened in the app or from plain search never shows this rate.
- Whether you chose a prepaid rate. Picking pay at the property drops you out of the promotion.
- Whether the payment settles in USD. Letting it authorise in your home currency adds a double conversion fee and can void the discount.
- Whether the card qualifies: Mastercard personal credit, debit and prepaid cards issued in Korea. A card from the same issuer that is not on this list will not trigger it.
- Whether you cleared the minimum spend of Other Mastercard USD 150 / World, Select and Platinum prepaid USD 200 / World Elite USD 250.
- Whether you hit an exclusion: Excludes 'pay at the hotel' rooms
- Whether you booked a single room. Several rooms of different types, or a package booking, usually loses the discount.
Against the other Korea channels
Of the 19 card channels running in Korea today, none publishes a higher rate than this one.
The channels do not stack with each other, and neither do they stack with a promo code. Only one discount is counted, so the one to use is whichever sits highest of the cards actually in your wallet.
Other Mastercard channels
An issuer often runs more than one channel and the rates differ. Open both and pay through the cheaper one.
How to use it
Paste a hotel link and compare; the Mastercard Korea channel price is ranked with the others. If it wins, open it and pay with that card.
Even with the right card, the discount can be skipped by promotion dates, minimum spend or prepaid rules, so check the final amount at checkout.
