The hotel site where the price depends on the channel
Agoda is one of Asia's largest hotel booking sites. The same room on the same dates costs a different amount depending on which partner channel you enter through, which is the reason this site exists.
When it is worth it
The card channels are where it pays most. Enter through an issuer's channel (cid) and pay with that card and 7~10% comes off at once, at a price the plain channel never shows. Promo codes come second. The two do not stack, so check the cheapest channel here first and compare it with the code.

- Paying with a card that has an Agoda channel of its own
- Properties in Asia, above all in Japan and Southeast Asia
- Dates firm enough to book a prepaid rate
Choose something else when
- If free cancellation matters, those rates often fall outside the channel discount and the gain shrinks
- To earn hotel chain status benefits, book through the chain instead
What to check
Displayed prices often exclude tax and fees; compare on the checkout total. Card instant discounts apply to prepaid rooms only, and most codes are web-only or app-only.

- Whether you compared final totals including tax and service charges
- The free cancellation deadline, and the penalty after it
- Whether the displayed currency is yours or the local one, and whether your card adds a foreign transaction fee

Can I use a channel discount and a promo code together?
Usually not. One or the other applies, so check the best channel price and the code price separately and pay whichever is lower. Which one wins flips from property to property and by date.
Why can I not see the channel price in search?
Agoda serves a different price list by the route you arrive through. A card channel's rate shows only via that channel's own link; through ordinary search or the app, the same room comes up at a different figure.
