Guam is dry from December to June and wet from July to November, with typhoons most likely between August and October. Hotel prices follow the Korean and Japanese holiday calendar more than the weather: Korean winter break and Lunar New Year, the late July to early August summer holiday, Chuseok, and Japan's Golden Week, Obon and New Year all fill the Tumon resorts first. Flights from Seoul and Tokyo are short enough for three night weekend trips, so Friday and Saturday nights carry a clear premium. Wet season rain passes quickly, which makes September and October the cheapest months.

Guam is US territory, so the currency is the US dollar and cards work everywhere; cash is only needed for tips and the shuttle bus. Hotels add a hotel occupancy tax, and many resorts charge a nightly resort fee that booking sites often leave out of the online total, so it appears only at checkout.
