Privacy policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Tripdify website and the Tripdify Saver extension for Chrome. The two work together but handle different information, so they are described separately below.

External sites linked from the site, such as Agoda, Trip.com, Hotellook, and Expedia, follow their own privacy policies. For how your information is handled after you move to an external site, please refer to that site's policy.

2. Information we collect

When you visit the site, information such as your IP address, the time of access, the page address requested, and your browser type may be collected automatically in server logs. These are the records normally kept by the Cloudflare Workers environment that hosts the site.

The hotel URLs you paste, comparison results, search history, and CID settings are stored only in your browser's localStorage. This information is not sent to our server, and when you create a share link, the data is carried inside the URL and interpreted only in the recipient's browser.

The Tripdify Saver extension reads only the room price, property name, and check-in and check-out dates shown on the Agoda hotel pages it opens for comparison. The values it reads are passed only to the Tripdify site tab that started the comparison.

3. Information we do not collect

Because there is no sign-up, we do not ask for personally identifying information such as your name, email address, phone number, or date of birth. We also do not read or store login credentials, payment card details, or booking records from Agoda or any other booking site.

The extension does not read the content of any site other than agoda.com, and even on Agoda pages it handles nothing beyond the price, property name, and dates.

4. Purpose of use

Automatically collected server logs are used only to provide and maintain the service, respond to outages, prevent abuse, and compile usage statistics, and for no other purpose.

Search results and settings stored in your browser exist so that you can review results, group searches by stay, and apply the same CID settings to your next search. The site operator cannot access this information.

5. Retention and deletion

Server logs are deleted without delay once their purpose has been fulfilled; where the law requires retention, they are kept only for that period and then deleted.

Information stored in your browser remains until you delete it yourself. Search history can be removed entry by entry or with Delete all on the History screen, and all stored information including CID settings is removed when you delete the Tripdify site data in your browser settings. The extension can be removed at chrome://extensions.

6. Cookies

The site uses a NEXT_LOCALE cookie to remember the display language you chose. This cookie contains only a language code and does not identify you personally.

Third-party services for advertising or usage statistics may be included, in which case those providers may set their own cookies. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you refuse the language cookie, the site is displayed automatically according to your browsing language.

7. Disclosure to third parties

We do not provide your personal information to third parties. The only information the site holds about you is limited to server logs.

The one exception is when a law enforcement or similar authority requests it under the law and by the prescribed procedure, in which case we may provide it only to the extent required by the request.

8. Affiliate links and tracking

Some of the links on the results screen and in the comparison panel are affiliate links. When you click one yourself, you pass through the site's /go path, and at that point the partner site may set its own cookies. Those cookies are governed by the partner's privacy policy.

Merely viewing a page sets no affiliate cookies, and no Tripdify affiliate information is attached to the background tabs the extension opens for comparison. Tracking happens only on your explicit click.

9. Extension permissions

Tripdify Saver uses the tabs, storage, alarms, notifications and cookies permissions, plus host permission for the agoda.com domain. What each one is for is set out below.

The tabs permission is needed to open each channel's Agoda page in an inactive background tab, read the price, and close it. The addresses it opens are always Agoda URLs built from the link you pasted, and the extension never enumerates your other tabs.

The storage permission keeps your channel settings, saved price watches and recent results inside the browser. The alarms permission is used only to re-check saved price watches once a day, and no alarm is created if you have not saved a watch. The notifications permission shows a notification only when a comparison finishes and when a watched price drops; it is never used for advertising or re-engagement.

The cookies permission is used only when you ask to compare in a different currency. Agoda ignores the currency value in the URL and reads its display currency from its own cookie, so the extension changes that value for the length of the search and restores it when the search ends. The original value is written to extension storage first, so an interrupted run is restored on the next start. No other cookie is read or written, on any site.

The agoda.com host permission is for reading the prices and booking conditions shown on Agoda hotel pages. On tripdify.com a content script only relays messages between the page and the extension; it does not read page content. No other site is accessed, and the extension does not send data anywhere other than the Tripdify site tab.

10. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of processing of information about you, and we act on such requests without delay. Information stored in your browser can be deleted by you immediately.

If you want to stop using the extension, you can remove it at any time, and the site's Link-only mode remains available after removal.

11. Children's personal information

Tripdify is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect children's personal information. If we learn that a child's information has been collected, we delete it without delay.

12. Affiliate partner script

The site includes a script provided by the affiliate network Travelpayouts. It is used to verify the affiliate partnership and to turn travel links on the site into affiliate links.

It is third-party code: it can read the content of the page you are viewing, adjust how links behave, and add elements of its own. What it collects and how is governed by Travelpayouts’ own privacy policy, and Tripdify’s operator does not have access to that data.

The script exists on the website only. It is not part of the Tripdify Saver extension, and the prices the extension reads from Agoda pages are never passed to it. Blocking the script with an ad or tracker blocker does not affect the price comparison.

13. Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) to measure how it is used. It collects page-view records, the page address, referrer, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, and browser and device type, and Google sets its own cookies for this in your browser.

It is used only in aggregate, to see which pages are visited and where the service breaks down; it is never used to identify an individual, and it is not combined with the hotel URLs, comparison results or search history kept in your browser, none of which are sent to Analytics. What Google collects and how is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

You can decline it: block it with an ad or tracker blocker, or install Google's opt-out add-on. The price comparison works exactly the same either way. The script exists on the website only and is not part of the Tripdify Saver extension.

14. Advertising (Google AdSense)

The site may show Google AdSense ads. To serve them, Google and its advertising partners set cookies in your browser and may choose ads based on the pages you visit here and content you have seen on other sites. Your IP address, browser and device type, and the page address are sent to Google in the process.

The Tripdify operator cannot see which ads an individual saw, and the hotel URLs, comparison results and search history kept in your browser are never sent to the ad system. What Google collects and how is governed by Google's privacy policy and advertising policies.

You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), or block the script with an ad or tracker blocker. Price comparison works the same either way. The ad script exists only on the website and is not part of the Tripdify Saver extension.

15. Changes to this policy and contact

This policy may be revised when laws, the service, or the extension's permissions change. Significant changes will be announced on this page and in Updates. This policy takes effect on September 8, 2026.
